  • Origin Story

    Not Too Hot Sauce is the brainchild of Melody and Angela Petulla - sisters, co-founders, and partners in crime. As a spicy food lover, Melody was on a mission to create the perfect goldilocks hot sauce for her younger sister with big flavor without big heat. After realizing the lack of variety and excitement in the mild market, what started as a passion project quickly became a calling to give mild the hype it deserves. The sister duo is now pursuing their entrepreneurial dream, while helping others live life on the mild side.

Our not too hot take? The perfect level of spiciness.

You know when you go outside in the middle of summer, prepared for the heat of a million suns to beat down on you, but you're instead met with a pleasant breeze and a warm 78 degrees? That's our hot sauce. You can enjoy a punchy, pleasant heat without fear of scorching your taste buds away.

For those who have never experienced a summer in the South, our hot sauces range from mild to medium heat. Our mild hot sauces are similar to Franks Red Hot or Texas Pete and our medium hot sauces are similar to Truff or Cholula.

Currently, Not Too Hot Sauce is available through our website and in select retail locations in Chattanooga, TN and Richmond, VA.

All orders will ship within 3 business days. Delivery times will vary according to the shipping option selected at checkout, but most orders will be delivered within 2-5 days after the order is shipped.

At the moment, preorders are only available to ship to the US, but we plan to expand internationally once our US business is established. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico is available.
